Responsibility and scope
Kevin Keuters is responsible for the editorial work. Our current guides address everyday buying and planning questions for US families. They are research-based recommendations, not hands-on product tests.
Our selection framework
- Define the decision: identify the reader, the practical problem and when no new purchase may be needed.
- Identify the exact item: use the US product version or item number when a specification depends on it.
- Check primary information: link manufacturer specifications for dimensions, age labels and contents; use the relevant official guidance for safety-related statements.
- Explain the trade-off: consider fit, setup, storage, adult help and replacement supplies. A useful shortlist includes reasons to skip an option.
- State the limits: distinguish verified published information from our editorial interpretation and from facts we have not independently measured.
Research is not a test
We use “tested” only when actual hands-on use, the method and its limitations can be documented. Customer reviews and manufacturer demonstrations do not become our experience. Our current guides do not establish durability, learning outcomes, leak resistance or universal suitability.
Children’s products
We refer to the exact manufacturer age label and installation instructions and use official safety guidance where relevant. A past recall search is not proof that an item is safe or that no later recall exists. Check the exact item and current manufacturer notices before purchase and use; an age label is not a promise about an individual child’s ability or interest.
Dates, prices and corrections
The published date records the original publication day. An updated date records a change to the guide; it is not a live stock or price feed. We link the sources used and avoid displaying unmaintained prices. Current shipping, stock, instructions and total cost must be checked with the seller. If a material detail cannot be confirmed, we leave it out or identify the limitation.
To flag a changed fact, send the guide URL and supporting source through our contact page. We do not claim that an automated recheck or product-testing system is running.
Commercial relationships
Our marked Tushbaby affiliate links may earn commission on qualifying purchases. We identify each link at the beginning of its guide and beside the recommendation. Our checklists and branded graphics illustrate a decision; they are not product photographs. The room illustration is identified as AI-generated. Neither kind of image proves product ownership or testing.

Our own book
